The Guilt Starts to Come out

This wasn’t the first time Dimmesdale had been up on the scaffold. During midnight townspeo-ple said they heard crying assuming it was a witch, but it was really Dim-mesdale screaming. This showed him becoming weak; he couldn’t keep the secret he had anymore.
Dimmesdale’s pain and guilt was getting to him, so he went to the scaffold and stood up there alone. Then Dimmesdale noticed Hester and Pearl and asked them to join him. From what Mr. Chillingworth had told me, he did see Dimmesdale, Pearl, and Hester together on the scaffold. Pearl then asked Dimmes-dale if he would join them at noon to stand on the scaffold together. Dim-mesdale said it still isn’t the time. These three people were holding hands together on the scaffold alone at night. A meteor fell out of the sky randomly and made the shape of the letter A in the sky. This eventually led up to the death scene at the sermon when Dimmesdale told all the townspeople of the sin he committed.
